The Dinokeng Game Reserve provides a once in a lifetime opportunity to have a seat in the front row observing hands-on conservation management, the re-collaring of a one of the lion in the Reserve. 
The Dinokeng Game Reserve is the first free-roaming Big 5 residential game reserve in Gauteng – and probably in the world!
It offers visitors a unique self-drive experience with a more than 140km well maintained meandering route throughout the Reserve. Permits to use the route can be purchased at the gates of the Reserve or at selected Lodges such as Abendruhe. The handy detailed map that comes with the permit has numbered reference points and places to stop for comfort breaks, meals or picnics.
