  Lovely stay – We stayed at the loft cabin for 2 nights with 2 adults and 4 children. It was wonderful. The cabin is well fitted, with light switches at the right spots… read more (two for the main light: in room and next to bed), etc. The view is wonderful, it’s winter now so there were no leaves on the bushes between us and the watering hole, we could see wildlife passing by to lick the salt block and drink some water.

We did one great game drive with Gunter, and they set up a 2nd one for us with a guide from a different lodge since they were fully booked. Loved the freshly baked all bran muffin during the coffee break.

Abendruhe is a great place with great owners to stay at while at Dinokeng.

Beautiful view of the great African sunrise and a nice view of a waterhole where some animals might just come for a late afternoon drink.… read more The bedding is nice with a aircon to keep you warm on cold nights and cold on warm nights. The bar and pool is lovely for having a drink with friends as you view the late afternoon skies of the African bushveld.

Cabin 4 was very neat, spacious and comfortable. We just loved the private boma, even though it was very cold, the cozy fire warmed… read more us up. We had a wonderful bush break, a very short distance from Pretoria, but made us feel like we were far away from the city. Our game drive with Peter as our guide, was very exciting, seeing rhino and lions. We can recommend this to anyone, the accommodation was outstanding, the hosts were very friendly and we saw lots of animals.

We were blessed with incredible animal sightings too and really enjoyed everything…from the trees to the new vistas around every corner

  When we arrived we were welcomed at the gate and reception. They are covid-19 safe and our room was immaculately clean and had a sanitizer as you entered. The room… read more was clean, tidy and cosy, with everything you need for a winter bush weekend getaway. They had an awesome braai and firepit area per unit with was really private and lovely to enjoy a braai and relaxing with marsh-mellows in the evening. You can also go on a game drive with Abendruhe Lodge, or buy a permit to go in your own 4×4. We have a little one so we opted to go on our own and had a lovely picnic along the way. There is a watering whole right in front of where we stayed and when we arrived there were many wildebeest in front of our room. I would definitely recommend staying there and am sure my family will be back! More
