We did both a morning and late afternoon drive with Gunther and would highly recommend his services. Plus we got to see his lodge, Abendruhe, with his wife, Anita, showing us one of the wooden cabins. We plan to book a stay for later this year especially as each cabin offers a deck overlooking a waterhole. Thank you Gunther for the fabulous game drives!

The hosts are incredible people and when you leave this beautiful lodge you leave with a new friendship formed. Gunther & Anita were amazing and were always standing ready to assist when the need arise. Beautiful clean premises with a water hole that attracts plentiful game. We had a wonderful time around our private boma, spending quality time with my family and dear friends. The lions roaring our last morning were the cherry on the cake. We will definitely be back.

The game drives are fun and filled with information about the sites and sounds in the bush. The big-five reside in Dinokeng and I’ve seen elephants and lions. Lot’s of buck and birds can be seen. It’s a lovely place and so very close to Johannesburg.

The cabins are cozy and have everything you need, seriously… EVERYTHING YOU NEED! Comfortable beds, Dstv, Wifi, Aircon, not to mention every utensil you will ever need…even my favorite, the all-important "braai-bak"! Nice cozy spot for your own little bonfire and your own braaier, overlooking the watering hole… Man, it is awesome!

Our game drive with Günter was exceptional. His knowledge of the bird-live and other animals is amazing. Learned so much during this time and the kids loved it!

The rooms are comfortable, a king size bed and air conditioning for those warm South African summer days. Every room has its own personal viewing deck with a view of the wildlife coming to drink at the lodge dam of which was plentiful. The giraffe bending down to quench its thirst was a personal high-light. Gunther was a knowledgeable field guide on our many game drives ensuring that all guests receive personal attention. Indeed a home away from home. Will be visiting again soon.
