  A fabulous escape! – Gunter and Anita have created a tranquil haven with the most well equipped cabins we have ever seen. They are helpful and attentive without being intrusive. Gunther’s game drive was… read more fun and we loved that he loved the small animals as well as big – 4 jacana chick’s! The watering hole just the other side of the fence attracts a variety of game and birds, and we saw a jackal canter by while having a braai on the stoop. Abendruhe scores very high on the relaxation scale and we will definitely stay there again.

The unit is very neat and tidy with everything you need away from home. Simply loved Gunter’s photos of animals taken in the reserve that adorns the wood panel walls. This lends a nice touch to this serene place in the bush. Loved the wide open view from the well sized patio. Anita and Gunter run superb establishment, and we’ll definitely be back.

What an awesome week we had. You both went out of your way to make us welcome, even had welcoming board with our… read more names on when we arrived. The chalets very comfortable and we had an absolute treat when sitting on the porch. Chalet close to fence and on a day, three giraffes, wildebeest, Eland, Kudu, Impala and Zebra were feeding just beyond the fence. Although we did not see the big five while on game drive, we did see Cheetah and five cubs. Our chalet was serviced not by one, but four cleaners who were very efficient and friendly. All in all, we had a lovely time at Abendruhe and can’t wait to go back again. Thank you very much. More

  The Gem of DInokeng – Stayed over the Weekend of the 24-26 June with overseas family who were blown away with the Lodge and the very friendly hospitality of Anita & Gunther.

The Cabins… read more were beautiful and attention to detail was amazing, views of the waterhole and bush at your doorstep, their honesty bar was very well stocked with beverages, wood & ice – You didn’t need anything.

Went on a magnificent game drive with Gunther who spoilt us with Elephant and a Serval as well as his knowledge of the bush was fantastic.

We will definitely be back!
