They had an awesome braai and firepit area per unit with was really private and lovely to enjoy a braai and relaxing with marsh-mellows in the evening. You can also go on a game drive with Abendruhe Lodge, or buy a permit to go in your own 4×4. We have a little one so we opted to go on our own and had a lovely picnic along the way. There is a watering whole right in front of where we stayed and when we arrived there were many wildebeest in front of our room. The chalets very comfortable and we had an absolute treat when sitting on the porch. Chalet close to fence and on a day, three giraffes, wildebeest, Eland, Kudu, Impala and Zebra were feeding just beyond the fence. Although we did not see the big five while on game drive, we did see Cheetah and five cubs. Our chalet was serviced not by one, but four cleaners who were very efficient and friendly. Gunter and Anita are wonderful hosts who are willing to go the extra mile for their guests. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. The lodge is so peaceful and the location absolutely perfect. Gunther & Anita were amazing and were always standing ready to assist when the need arise. Beautiful clean premises with a water hole that attracts plentiful game.
