We spent hours at the pool relaxing and watching the animals across the fence. A game drive with Gunter is a must as you are guaranteed to learn something new. We will definitely be back.   Our wonderful stay at Abendruhe Lodge – We absolutely loved our stay at Abendruhe Lodge , its truly a hidden gem . The accommodation was superb, spotless and had everything you would need and more, and also… read more electric blankets , aircon/heating so you dont get cold in Winter. There’s a water cooler in your cabin as well in case you forget to bring water. The honesty bar had drinks and wood and charcoal for sale in case you forgot to bring or ran out. We loved all the outdoor seating areas, the braai and the fire pit as well. It was so peaceful and relaxing sitting by the fire looking out at the beautiful bush every evening. We were fortunate enough to see Zebra, giraffes and impala from our patio walking by and had just missed lions walking past the fence. We came to unwind from the stresses of our life and we got absolute tranquility and peace of mind from our stay here. The owners Gunther and Anita are lovely, friendly hosts who take care of everything you need. It is also great value for money, I dont think you can get such good accommodation at such fair prices anywhere else in the reserve , I would highly recommend staying here, 5 stars from us all around, we will definitely be back , thank you Gunther and Anita for a fantastic stay !

The Game drive is excellent, Gunter is a excellent guide and the Muffins is to die for. with the amount of Game that visit the lodge you do not even need to drive yourself. The Cabins… read more were beautiful and attention to detail was amazing, views of the waterhole and bush at your doorstep, their honesty bar was very well stocked with beverages, wood & ice – You didn’t need anything.

Went on a magnificent game drive with Gunther who spoilt us with Elephant and a Serval as well as his knowledge of the bush was fantastic.

We will definitely be back!

The patio is large and overlooks a waterhole, where many animals frequently come to drink. 10/10 we would not hesitate to return.
