We did both a morning and late afternoon drive with Gunther and would highly recommend his services. Plus we got to see his lodge, Abendruhe, with his wife, Anita, showing us one of the wooden cabins. We plan to book a stay for later this year especially as each cabin offers a deck overlooking a waterhole. Thank you Gunther for the fabulous game drives!

The room… read more was clean, tidy and cosy, with everything you need for a winter bush weekend getaway. They had an awesome braai and firepit area per unit with was really private and lovely to enjoy a braai and relaxing with marsh-mellows in the evening. You can also go on a game drive with Abendruhe Lodge, or buy a permit to go in your own 4×4. We have a little one so we opted to go on our own and had a lovely picnic along the way. There is a watering whole right in front of where we stayed and when we arrived there were many wildebeest in front of our room. I would definitely recommend staying there and am sure my family will be back! More

They are excellent hosts, very friendly and helpful. Gunter was extremely knowledgeable on the game drive and taught us all a lot. Our cabin was stunning, clean and with everything you need, the beds are extremely comfortable. All in all it was a wonderful weekend and will definitely be back!

Did I mention peacefull sleep ? The pool are a welcome cool down extra, with lovely loungers with thick cushions. Ice and wood are always available, This is just a awesome place with Anita and Gunther taking the extra mile to make the guest feel welcome. Thank you for the surprise game drive on Sunday.
