  When we arrived we were welcomed at the gate and reception. They are covid-19 safe and our room was immaculately clean and had a sanitizer as you entered. The room… read more was clean, tidy and cosy, with everything you need for a winter bush weekend getaway. They had an awesome braai and firepit area per unit with was really private and lovely to enjoy a braai and relaxing with marsh-mellows in the evening. You can also go on a game drive with Abendruhe Lodge, or buy a permit to go in your own 4×4. We have a little one so we opted to go on our own and had a lovely picnic along the way. There is a watering whole right in front of where we stayed and when we arrived there were many wildebeest in front of our room. I would definitely recommend staying there and am sure my family will be back! More

This was honestly the most relaxing get away ever,just what you need to recharge and get ready to face the rat race once again.

We did both a morning and late afternoon drive with Gunther and would highly recommend his services. Plus we got to see his lodge, Abendruhe, with his wife, Anita, showing us one of the wooden cabins. It is secluded and you really feel like you are the only people there. Perfect to reconnect as a family. The lodge is clean, and the cabins are equipped with everything you need and necessary comforts (electric blankets, aircon). We also enjoyed our game drive with Gunter, even though we never got to see that many animals it was still fun to be out in the "wild" and the kids enjoyed the snack break in the bush. Our stay was absolutely pleasant and we will surely be going back there again. The owners are friendly, welcoming and ready to assist with any request.

The view from our chalet on the water holes was a wonderful experience as a lot of animals came for a drink as we sat on our veranda.
Not to mention the quietness and peacefulness that is so important when staying in the bush.
